In her early years, she began by performing a freestyle for the rapper The Notorious B.I.G. In the beginning, she was a in the group Junior M.A.F.I.A. Megan Anna Rapinoe, born in Redding California on 5 July 1985. She started playing soccer when she was a very young child, and her talents were further developed as she grew older. Then she attended at the University of Portland in Oregon along with her twin sister fraternal Rachael Rapinoe. Megan Rapinoe, a member of the team that played soccer at the college, was one of the top scorers of women's collegiate soccer in the United States. A sprain in her knee caused her to miss a portion of seasons in her junior and sophomore years. When she was a junior, she began playing soccer all season long. She graduated from the University of Portland in 2008 with a bachelor's degree from sociology. SOCCER CAREER in 2009, The Chicago Illinois Red Stars of the newly formed Women's Professional Soccer WPS league drafted Rapinoe. She played with the team until it disbanded at the end of 2010. Rapinoe was a part of with the Philadelphia Pennsylvania Independence for a brief period before being transfered in Boca Raton Florida. After just eight games the Rapinoe scored two goals, helping the MagicJack to finish third in the division. The magicJack ended up dissolving in late 2011, and the WPS was dissolved in early 2012. Rapinoe played for Sydney Football Club FC in the Australian W-League for a couple matches before returning back to America. The Seattle Washington Sounders Women, which is now Sound FC, were her the next team. The 2013 soccer season in France. She then became a member of the National Women's Soccer League NWSL (formerly the WPS) created in response to the WPS's dissolution. Rapinoe soon became a leading player for the team, and eventually was named captain. She also competed in her second Olympics held in Rio de Janeiro Brazil, in the year 2016. The U.S. Team was defeated in Rio's quarterfinals. Rapinoe's participation at the FIFA Women's World Cup began in 2011. Her participation was instrumental in helping the U.S. Women's World Cup to win consecutive championships between 2015 and 2019. The team was awarded cocaptain status in 2018. Rapinoe won two bronze medals during her part in the United States' 4-3 win against Australia in the Tokyo Olympics 2020. Japan has been postponed until 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
